For homework assigned on Feb. 2nd, students needed to choose a 1950’s rock n roll song, print out the lyrics, and write a brief paragraph about how the song exemplifies the music of that era (lyrics, vocals, guitar, etc…). Some artists discussed in class were Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Dion and the Belmonts, and Ray Charles. This is late and is due as soon as possible.

All Groups: History Homework Due Tomorrow (9/29)

A couple of things on the homework front:

  1. History homework is due tomorrow. Links to the assignments are below.
  2. For students in the Annabel, Cagney, and Geuliette groups, Friday is the last day to turn in their homework assignment entitled “Exploring Joshua Tree National Park.” If it is not turned by Friday, 9/29 students will take a zero for the assignment.
  3. There are a few students who have not turned in their outlines for the National Park Service project.  I take 10% off for each day the assignment is late, therefore it’s a good idea to turn this in as soon as possible.

History Homework: Annabel, Cagney, and Geuliette Groups

Students are learning about the National Park Service and the different designations within the NPS. They have been given a lengthy Guided Notes packet that we will be completing together in class.  The Guided Notes is to be completed IN CLASS and to be used as a study resource for upcoming quizzes and/or tests.  As of yet, I have not set a date for a quiz or test because I’m still assessing the needs of each group.

Also, students were given a homework assignment today to help prepare them for the upcoming internet research they will be doing for their National Park Service project.  The due date of this assignment is Tuesday, Sept. 5th.
