Several students in the Cookie, Geuliette, and Lacey group have not turned in their essays that were due weeks ago. Essays (and any other late work) need to be turned in by this Tuesday, May 30th. If not turned in by the 30th, it will go against your average for the marking period. Parents, please feel free to email me to make sure your child is up to date on all of their work.
Cookie and Lacey essay topic: Explain how the 14th Amendment has affected civil liberties in the United States since its passage at the end of the Civil War.
Geuliette essay topic (Opinion-based): Should the police have the right to search the property of a student at school without having a search warrant?
If there are any questions please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The exam consists of 50 multiple choice and fill in the blank questions, and one essay question. I will go over the essay portion in class.
REMINDER: If students commit to two essay questions I will issue a cheat sheet for that student to use on the exam. This cheat sheet will be for that students use only. No sharing will be allowed!

The American Government exam is scheduled for May 23rd. The exam will be 50 questions that consist of fill in the blank (with a word bank), multiple choice, and matching. In addition, students have 4 essay questions on the test that are worth 20 pts each. They will be responsible for answering only one of these essay questions. The study guide has been posted on Quizlet, but I cannot access it tonight because the site is down. As soon as the site is up and running I will post a link to the page.
ATTENTION: If a student commits to answering two of these essay questions, then I will provide that student a copy of a Bill of Rights cheat sheet that may be used on the final exam.
