English 7th-12th

Cagney Homework 12/2/14:

We are currently reading Life of Pi in class, focusing on animal behavior that has been described in the story.  The students in this group are to answer the following question(s):  Is there a character that resembles the animals?  Or, are we learning about human behavior by watching the animals?  They must write at least 1 paragraph explaining their thoughts.  We will be discussing their answers in class tomorrow.  This must be in their composition notebook, or they will not receive credit!

Cookie Homework 12/2/14:

We are working on different forms of poetry in class.  The students are to choose a song they enjoy that they think is a ballad.  They must explain, in 1 paragraph, why they think that song could be considered a ballad.  They do not need to bring in the song lyrics!  They just need to explain, in their own words, why the song is a ballad. We will be discussing their song choices in class tomorrow.  This must be in their composition notebook, or they will not receive credit!

Lacey Homework 12/2/14:

Students in this group received two handouts today that must be completed for tomorrow’s class.  I explained the worksheets, and gave about 15 minutes to get started on them.  We will be going over the worksheets tomorrow in class.

Romeo:  No Homework!

Annabel & Geuliette:  We will be discussing a project that each student in these groups must have completed before we go on break.  The students should start thinking about a poet who they would be interesting in researching and informing their classmates on. I will be posting specifics about the project within the next few days.
